OUR SERVICES:
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational therapists empower and support people to participate in activities of daily living and activities meaningful to the person. They work in partnership with clients to prevent illness and provide disability support. Occupational therapists are trained to assist those impacted by injury, illness, mental health or emotional difficulties or conditions associated with ageing. Our occupational therapists aim to improve daily independence and autonomy by using a client-centred, goal oriented approach.
Some areas we support our clients with:
-
Self care activities: such as showering, dressing and eating
-
Household and community functioning: such as cooking and cleaning, driving, budgeting and shopping
-
Education: working with clients to provide support and improving skills in study environments
-
Leisure: including hobbies and interests for relaxation and enjoyment
-
Social: enabling clients to participate in social environments
Our occupational therapists are AHPRA registered and highly qualified. At Autonomy Allied Health we have a special interest in mental health, however also work with clients who have a range of conditions.
